BRAČ Guide | mini notebook
A small guide that became a memory book.
Some years ago, I created a limited-edition mini notebook guide to Brač, a pocket-sized companion for travelers who prefer curiosity over checklists. It gathered unconventional places, small island stories, things to learn, and even recipes to try, all illustrated by hand.
Every drawing was made in ink on paper, using pen and brush. Later, the pages were scanned and composed into a small yellow booklet that was sold in a few souvenir shops on the island. A tiny pencil was tucked alongside it, inviting people to write their own notes and impressions as they wandered.
What began as a guide often returned as something else: a personal memory book, filled with handwriting, sketches, and traces of someone’s journey across Brač.
The edition is now sold out, but the original artworks remain in my archive. This project still feels close to me. It’s a quiet reminder of how design can hold place, memory, and story in the palm of a hand.
