Sacra Studio: where art rediscovers transcendence

At a time when much of the creative industry is shaped by speed, trends, and consumption, Sacra Studio proposes a different path: to protect art from materialism and restore its original vocation—meaning, beauty, and transcendence.

Founded in January 2024 in Limbuš, Slovenia, Sacra Studio is an atelier where art, faith, and tradition converge. Its work is guided by a clear conviction: creativity is not merely an aesthetic exercise, but a way of safeguarding cultural heritage and offering glimpses of the eternal within contemporary life.

“To interest is the first duty of art; no other excellences will ever begin to compensate for failure in this.” — C. S. Lewis

A founder shaped by tradition—and professional rigor

Behind the studio is Marin Šantić, a Catholic visual artist and designer, born in Croatia and now based in Slovenia. His journey brings together years of professional design practice with a deep devotion to tradition.

Šantić holds a master’s degree in Design and Visual Communications from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, University of Ljubljana, along with studies in marketing and management at the University of Split. For nearly eight years, he served as a teaching assistant at the Ljubljana academy, supporting courses in calligraphy, the history of writing, Latin letter development, typography, type design, and digital lettering.

Prior to founding Sacra Studio, he also launched Type Fleet, a boutique type foundry focused on elegant, functional, and meaningful font systems for brands and institutions.

Beauty as a path to truth

Sacra Studio’s vision is inspired by thinkers who have reflected deeply on the relationship between beauty, truth, and culture—among them Joseph Ratzinger, Roger Scruton, and Bishop Robert Barron.

In this tradition, every creation is conceived not simply as design, but as a “living relic”: a testament to faith, heritage, and the enduring light of the Word. Sacra Studio’s work seeks clarity and resonance, offering art that is at once timeless and contemporary.

A comprehensive, meaning-driven creative practice

Sacra Studio operates as a full-service creative atelier, working with collectors, cultural institutions, and brands seeking beauty with substance. Its services include:

  • Brand Identity & Strategy Naming, design positioning, archetype development, and cohesive design programs rooted in meaning and coherence.
  • Logo & Symbol Design Marks, monograms, and icon systems crafted with symbolic depth and visual restraint.
  • Typography & Editorial Design Custom type design, book design, annual reports, and brochures, drawing from the studio’s strong typographic and calligraphic heritage.
  • Publishing & Cultural Artifacts Archival giclée editions, editorial design, and poster design—objects intended to endure, not expire.
  • Website & Digital Presence Website design, online shops, story development, and social media administration aligned with a brand’s deeper narrative.
  • Teaching & Formation Educational offerings on design and aesthetics, beauty in art, and the role of traditional values in contemporary creative practice.

Faith-driven creativity as entrepreneurship

More than a design studio, Sacra Studio stands as a faith-based cultural enterprise—one that engages the market without being governed by it. Its approach resonates in a moment when brands and creators are searching for authenticity, depth, and coherence between what they communicate and what they believe.

For TILMA, Sacra Studio is a compelling example of how faith can inspire high-level creative entrepreneurship: ventures that speak to today’s world while remaining firmly anchored in tradition, meaning, and the transcendent call of beauty.
